About Hamilton Glaucoma and Joan and Irwin Jacobs Retina Center

An expansion of the Shiley Eye Center in east campus, this facility was occupied in January of 2004. The assignable area of 13,954 square feet houses two research centers: the Hamilton Glaucoma Center and the Jacobs Retina Center. Construction of these facilities was made possible by the generosity of Joan and Irwin Jacobs and Frances and Philip White of the Hamilton White Foundation. The facilities contain offices for clinical research and trials, research laboratories, and community outreach activities. At the Hamilton Glaucoma and Jacobs Retina Center, renowned scientists are developing new solutions for people with a range of retinal diseases and glaucoma.
